THE IDEA
Each day brings five surprising quantities from all over the map. Enter your best estimate. The closer you are, the better your score.
Each question is worth up to 100 points, for a daily maximum of 500. An exact guess earns 100. The score drops as your guess gets farther from the answer: a guess that is 10 times too high or too low earns about 64 points; 100 times off earns about 28; and 1,000 times off earns 0. The same scale applies whether your guess is above or below the answer.
